I made quite a few of these Double Sink Vanities. The customers usually would provide the sinks and their plumber would install the faucets. All the lumber for this vanity came from a local barn that we salvaged, that was built in the 1800’s.

I just got a posting on FB about a show in tribute to the Music Of The 70’s at The Colonial Theater in Pittsfield Ma, which is not too far from me, that I’m very interested in. Right after that this song popped up featuring many of my Folk Music heroes;

Judy Collins joins a stellar group of musicians who first made it big in the 1960s folk music revival era. Included in this 1982 sing-along of the Harry Cha...

Spring frees you from the grey, cold and entrapment of winter and into the joy and raucousness of the summer of life, so hot that your insides are as warm and tender as the pink glow from the sun on your shoulders. Summer ebbs like the receding tide as it returns to the darkness of the sea. The usually warm onshore winds, are now blowing like the opening of a freezer, instead of refreshing you from the sizzling sun, it is chilling you, causing you to run to your vehicle to retrieve your friend’s sweater. The trees are now as full of color as a painter’s palette. Returning home there is a skim coat of ice on the pond and the sun is reflecting off the christaline edge of the lake. Winter is slowly tightening its grip. The snow that used to be such a joy to see, is now viewed as a handicap to mobility and backroad cruising. My New Year’s Eve wish is to make it at least one more trip around the sun. I don’t really object to being in the winter of my life, although as I type this there are tears on my cheeks. I would like to cast my line in the Kinderhook Creek, which is just behind where I live, jump off the Big Rock at French’s Park, fall camp at Pillsbury, to enjoy the unbelievable foliage and, this is my greatest wish of all and most likely the most difficult to attain at all, to ski, at least one run, with my two sons, Jeff and Seth, and Seth’s two boys. Truth be known I would love to experience all these joys on a few more trips around the sun ❤️

“There is no such thing as a "broken family." Family is family, and is not determined by marriage certificates, divorce papers, and adoption documents. Families are made in the heart. The only time family becomes null is when those ties in the heart are cut. If you cut those ties, those people are not your family. If you make those ties, those people are your family and if you hate those ties, thosepeople will still be your family because whatever you hate will always be with you.”

"My wish for you, for all of us, make new mistakes ! Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is, art, or love, or work or family or life.
Whatever it is you're scared of doing, fo it ! Make your mistakes, next year and forever!
