Just put the last touch-up finish coat on the walnut bookshelves after glueing on the vertical veneer strips (to conceal all the bad joinery below!). I thought it would be nice to "publish" it before I cover it all up with the half of my academic library that is still in storage 3 years after moving into this house!

We have tables at local Akron shows this Thanksgiving weekend:
SATURDAY: Missing Falls brewery, 520 S. Main St. (Canal Place), 11-6pm. There's also a holiday show in the same building at R. Shea brewery. So come down and have a brewski and get some shopping done.

SUNDAY: Summit Artspace Artists Sunday, 12-5pm, 140 E. Market St. Open studios with resident artists, couple of dozen pop-up types like me. Plenty of parking.

Merry Christmas or whatever form of return of the light ritual you follow! The Frogs had a busy fall, spiced up by Etsy briefly delisting the shop when its 3rd party software was unable to verify our bank account. We blew thru 600 sales in early December!
The shop will going on a long vacation January 1 to May as I leave for a research fellowship to finish a book in my other life as a Roman archaeologist (j c fant on scholar.google.com or academia.edu if you want details). Inventory is drawn down but a number of striking curly maple and hard maple peels remain.

We are reorganizing from a long move (sold house, stored shop and lumber) and rebuilding a shop, more compact, in the new house. Never completely closed the Etsy store but now getting close to resuming full bore production.

Been "away," fixing up and selling my rental house. At the summer's only show I met a nice guy from a granite shop who let me raid his "scrap" pile and I've been making neat tables with that stuff this fall. Stay tuned!
