We were excited to accept the Akron Chamber of Commerce’s $1640 donation to our Sleep in Heavenly Peace fund from proceeds raised during the Autumn in Akron Car show this year. We are so thankful for their support in making sure that no child sleeps on the floor in our town!

We were able to honor one of Akron’s finest on Tuesday evening at our meeting. Help us congratulate Tim Jones, or “Jonesy”, on receiving the Melvin Jones Fellowship award. This award honors individuals who demonstrate exemplary humanitarian service and dedication to their community- Tim Jones fits the category perfectly. Thank you Tim, for all that you’ve done and will do for our community!

The Cubs had a blast this evening cleaning up at Pike Memorial Park! They learned about the importance of leaving places cleaner than how they find them. They picked up trash, blew off pine needles on the trails and basketball courts, and swept out a pavilion. They even collected a total of 255 pairs of glasses for the Lions Eyeglass recycling program over this past month. Akron has a bright future with these kids 🙌🦁
