Tried keeping my spices organized in their original bottles but then I found an empty spice jar set on Amazon and now it’s easier to find a spice I need even if it’s in the back. Labels and arranging from A to Z help. Also added dry erase tape on the back for expiration dates.

Wrapping sturdy boxes with lids in gift wrap is a great way to save on paper and have your gifts ready in seconds to put under the tree. A great idea for those who are challenged with the whole wrapping thing. Stores easily. Use heavier paper that will last longer.

This closet underwent a major update a few years ago. Recently added a few more shoe shelves and hooks for the hats that will help keep this closet organized and make choosing a hat a bit easier.

It's that time of year when the season begins to change and wardrobe weariness sets in.
Also a perfect time to re-organize your closets! I've heard and read that we only wear about 20% of the clothes that we own so fall is a good time to go through that 80%. It may be the fit, color or style that just isn't working anymore. Make keep and donate piles and if possible wait until spring to make your donations.

Your kitchen pantry is a good place to start your spring cleaning.
Start by taking everything out of the cabinet. You may want to use a couple of bins or boxes to temporarily hold food items. Throw out expired items and keep a list of things that will need to be replaced.
Decide what you like about your current storage and what needs a refresh. For me it was new canisters and easier access to the back of the cupboard since they are 22 inches deep.
Measure your spaces and take pictures to be sure new storage items will fit the space.
I found most of what I needed at The Container Store and then online.

For some people the beginning of a new year brings on a need for change and a home refresh. If your closet is one of those areas that you know needs an update or a purge but you just can't get started or you don't have time to spend a few hours on, start small. Put on a piece of clothing in the morning that you haven't worn in awhile and see if it's still a 👍 or 👎 . If it needs to go fold it and start a box or bag for unwanted items. Once or twice a week of this and you'll start to see progress!
