WHY DIDN’T WE SEE THE CARP IN LAKE GARDA?

Lake Garda is famous for its incredibly clear water. You can stand on the shore, look deep into the lake and see almost everything.

So where are the carp?

Most of the time, they’re where carp are supposed to be — down on the bottom.

Lake Garda is home to common and mirror carp, including some very impressive fish. Adult carp spend much of their time close to the lakebed, searching for natural food — worms, molluscs, crustaceans and other organisms living on or in the bottom.

That’s probably why we didn’t see them.

We were looking into the water.

The carp were looking at the bottom. 😊

And that is exactly where a natural bait presented inside Karpela Cont becomes interesting.
