從家族傳承到全球標竿
走訪位於 Verl 的 Beckhoff 總部，最令我動容的並非僅是尖端技術，而是那份深植於血脈的企業家精神。回溯至 1953 年由 Arnold 與 Elisabeth 創立的電工事業，到 1980 年四位手足在艱難時刻接手並各自開拓出自動化、電器服務與技術設計等領域，這段從 Verl 地方零售商轉型為全球自動化巨擘的歷程，展現了極強的生命力與願景。
在工廠參觀過程中，這種「家族凝聚力」與「創新技術」的結合隨處可見。我們親眼目睹了主要營運公司 Beckhoff Automation 與專精電子製造的 Smyczek 以及生產馬達的 Fertig Motors 之間如何完美協作。這種 100% 的自主掌握能力，確保了從底層硬體到 PC-based 控制系統的極致品質。看著這座在全球擁有逾 5,000 名員工、產值超過 12 億歐元的自動化帝國，依然保有家族企業的靈活性與長遠目光，這對 Guanda (廣達國際機械) 而言是極大的啟發。
Beckhoff 的成功驗證了：核心競爭力源於系統的完整性。這與廣達目前推動的「整線整合策略」不謀而合。我們正致力於從單機設備延伸至產線管理體系，期望能像 Beckhoff 一樣，在鋼構加工領域建立起一套穩定、開放且可持續優化的生產體系。
這次參訪讓我們看見，真正的領先不僅是硬體規格，更是那份延續超過 70 年、跨越世代的系統架構思維與對卓越的堅持。廣達將帶著這份見學智慧，持續為客戶創造更具價值的自動化解決方案。
From Family Legacy to a Global Benchmark
Visiting the headquarters of Beckhoff Automation in Verl, Germany, what impressed me most was not only the cutting-edge technology, but also the entrepreneurial spirit deeply rooted within the company’s DNA. Tracing back to 1953, when Arnold and Elisabeth founded the original electrical business, and later to 1980, when the four siblings took over during a difficult period and expanded into automation, electrical services, and technical design, the journey from a local retailer in Verl to a global automation powerhouse reflects remarkable resilience and vision.
Throughout the factory tour, this combination of “family cohesion” and “technological innovation” could be seen everywhere. We witnessed firsthand how Beckhoff Automation, together with Smyczek, specializing in electronics manufacturing, and Fertig Motors, producing motors, work seamlessly as an integrated ecosystem. This level of 100% in-house control ensures exceptional quality from the hardware foundation all the way to the PC-based control system architecture.
Seeing an automation group with over 5,000 employees worldwide and annual revenue exceeding €1.2 billion still maintain the flexibility and long-term mindset of a family-owned business was deeply inspiring for Guanda International Machinery.
Beckhoff’s success proves that true competitiveness comes from system integrity. This strongly aligns with Guanda’s current “integrated production line strategy.” We are moving beyond standalone machinery toward a complete production management ecosystem, aiming to establish a stable, open, and continuously optimized fabrication system for the structural steel industry — just as Beckhoff has done in industrial automation.
This visit reminded us that true leadership is not defined solely by hardware specifications, but by a system-oriented mindset and an unwavering commitment to excellence that can endure across generations for more than 70 years.
Guanda will carry forward the insights gained from this visit and continue creating higher-value automation solutions for our customers.
