Since the establishment of Arikoglu Arkitekt Ltd. in 1992, our principal design goal has been to attain the “Art of Architecture” in all of our designed and built projects. In pursuing this goal, it is our belief that the project program and the client’s needs are above all else the most important determinants in the beginning of this artistic process. Our design work has a wide range scope
that spans from furniture and architectural design to urban design. We believe that our architectural services must orchestrate the total environmental design of each project to attain a unified end product. In addition to providing architectural services the firm offers services in, feasibility studies, programming, site planning, master planning, landscape design, interior design, renovation, construction management and engineering integrated design. Besides producing quality and innovative design it is our belief that our architectural mission is to orchestrate the design process that is aimed at creating feasible, sustainable buildings which are also environmentally “correct” and healthy for its occupants. Therefore, we give special care to preserve and enhance the human values and standards of the regional cultures in which our buildings are located in. This sensitivity for creating a “local place” plays a very important role in our design process. In the past 22 years, the firm has attained wide recognition in producing quality commercial, residential, educational, and public architecture in Turkey. The Mersin Maritime Commerce Building (MDTO) has received the most prestigious TMMO “National Building Award” in 2004. Firm’s other projects have also been published and have received recognition. To date Arikoglu Arkitekt has designed and completed variety of projects located in Adana, Mersin, Alanya and Bodrum. He received the “University of Maryland International Alumnus of the Year Award” in 1996 for his contribution to teaching and practice of architecture. His knowledge of USA building standards has allowed his firm to continuously provide architectural design services for the USA Consulate in Adana. These services ranged from construction supervision to interior design and repair work. Arikoglu continues to practice as a Principal / Designer in the Arikoglu Arkitekt Ltd. firm as well as serving on the Board of Fullbright Commission in Turkey.
