The last bit of fuel to the EV fire 🔥..
Ok so we’ve visited the factory - We’ve seen them being put together on the production line - We’ve spoken with Charlie from the design team ( educated in Reading college and University of London )- so communication not an issue. He answered all the questions that we could come up with easily .
We’ve test ridden a selection of them . Then we listen to the presentation:
Battery range - covered - it’s an impressive claimed 135-150 kms .
Battery life expectancy in cycles covered - Even more impressive.
20-80% charge -1,500 cycles.
Quick charge facility 35-40 minutes.
Domestic charge port - 4-6 hrs
Ancillary battery on the scooter - So the main batteries are focused on the propulsion motor.
Then this slide comes up - Portable fuel cell - Effectively a modern version of your Lammi reserve tank - To get you out of trouble .
Crowd - Jesus ! they seem to have thought of everything…
Me - I’m thinking Wow Pop that in your TARDIS or on your SLUK rear rack - Away you go to a rally ..
I’ve no idea if the demand for this ultra modern EV scooter will be there in UK.
That’s down to YOU LOT to tell your RA distributor Mr Lukas your thoughts on this once the full specs are released with price points .
But I can see Asian distributors taking to it . Thailand Dealers are already posting in RA groups that it’s coming to us.
I never in a million years thought I would hear ‘Shep’ ( Mr 2stroke tuned up Vespa lover ) say “ That’s a pretty bloody impressive piece of kit mate”
