เพียง 15 นาทีจากความเร่งรีบของตัวเมืองหาดใหญ่ มุ่งหน้าสู่ถนนลพบุรีราเมศวร์ (ใกล้มัสยิดกลางจังหวัดสงขลา) ภาพตึกรามบ้านช่องจะค่อยๆ เปลี่ยนเป็นทุ่งหญ้าพรุกว้างไกลสุดสายตา ที่นี่คือ "ทุ่งน้ำน้อย" โอเอซิสสีเขียวที่ซุกซ่อนวิถีชีวิตดั้งเดิมเอาไว้อย่างเงียบเชียบ

ในอดีต ผืนดินแห่งนี้คืออู่ข้าวอู่น้ำที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยแรงงานควายไถนา แม้กาลเวลาจะเปลี่ยนไป คนรุ่นใหม่หลั่งไหลเข้าสู่เมืองใหญ่จนเสียงเคียวเกี่ยวข้าวเลือนหาย แต่สิ่งที่ไม่เคยจากไปคือ "ฝูงควาย" ที่ชาวบ้านยังคงเลี้ยงดูด้วยความผูกพันและตั้งใจอนุรักษ์

ทุกเช้าจรดเย็น ฝูงควายจะถูกปล่อยให้ออกมาหากินตามธรรมชาติ ไฮไลต์ที่สะดุดตาที่สุดคือการอยู่ร่วมกันของ "ควายปรักตัวสีดำ" และ "ควายเผือกผิวสีขาวอมชมพู" พวกมันเชื่อง สงบนิ่ง และคุ้นเคยกับผู้คนเป็นอย่างดี

Just 15 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Hat Yai, heading onto Lopburi Ramesuan Road near the Songkhla Central Mosque, the urban landscape gradually gives way to vast, emerald wetlands stretching as far as the eye can see. In days gone by, this land was a thriving rice bowl, once powered by water buffaloes plowing the paddies.
