Chata was founded by Christians of Liptov region in 1948, for the benefit of the local community. Taken away by Communist regime and misused for 40 years, it was given back to the church in 1994, devastated. Since 2004 the center is operated by an international Christian NGO, IN Network, as a social enterprise.
