Our brand’s roots can be traced back to 1928 when our founder, Mr Tan Gim Teh came to Singapore from Xiamen, China. As a mobile hawker, he sold a few snacks based on homemade recipes including the delicious wuxiang. When his son took over the business in 1964, he added more products to the range. Based in Xiao Po (North Bridge Road), his shop made famous a new category of snacks now known as wuxia

ng xiabing (Ngo Hiang Hae Biah). With over 80 years of experience, we continue to use original ingredients coupled with modern technology to bring out the authentic flavourthat generations have come to love.

1928年，创始人陈錦程先生从故乡漳州（中国厦门）来到新加坡。当时，他以流动小贩的方式售卖4种传统小食，其中就包括了美味可口的五香。
陈老先生的幼子承接了父业后，将生意扩展至新加坡小坡（桥北路），不但增添了更多小食种类，更掀起了人们吃五香虾饼的热潮。
由始至今，我们仍保留着八十多年来传统的制作秘方，并坚持采用最纯正的原材料，配合现代科技，为食客们呈献脍炙人口的新加坡美食。

Hock Lian Huat 90 years Heritage

Our roots can be traced back to 1928 when our founder, Mr Tan Gim Teh came to Singapore from Zhangzhou, China. As a street hawker, he sold a few delicacies including our delicious wu xiang.

His son, Mr Tan Ah Lay took over the business in 1964 and added more varieties to the product range. Based in Xiao Po (North Bridge Road), his shop was famous for his invention of a new variant of snacks now known as Wu Xiang Xia Bing.

We have kept our century old tradition of using only the freshest ingredients coupled with modern technology to bring out the authentic flavours that generations have come to love.
