Designed in a modern minimalist style that the owners adore, this 5-room flat perfectly balances subtle sophistication and serenity. For a family busy in the prime of their lives, spaciousness and flexibility are never overrated. An easily navigable, well-balanced layout was chosen to allow superb natural light and an easy traffic flow from the living to the study area, which can easily be transformed into a hybrid hangout space for friends on weekends.
The original layout is changed from single-row to L-shaped layout. It makes the kitchen looks more spacious. In addition, it improves mobility around the kitchen while cooking. By contrasting the worktop (kompacplus), dark walnut doors, subway tiles with grey flooring, the kitchen is transformed into a gorgeous looking space that inspire client to cook delicious foods.
We utilized black vinyl flooring from Ecopluz in place of stained parquet for effortless maintenance. To contrast the richness of the black vinyl floor and ensure that the area will never feel closed in, crisp white was chosen for the walls to reflect light and help walls recede to create an airier space visually.
A main highlight of this residence is for the design of each room to flow seamlessly from one to another, resulting in a cosy home that feels even larger than it originally was. To make the home feel inviting, brightly coloured pieces of loose furniture were strategically used to inject vitality while retaining its minimalist style.
The master bedroom is a tranquil space with an L-shaped walk-in closet to add interest and depth- at the same time minimizing reno costs for the owners.
Their bathroom was based on the same neutral palette seen throughout the home. Carbon-coloured floor tiles and warm medium-wood cabinets were chosen to impart elegance and warmth to the space. The walls were finished with complementary eggshell beige tiles for a timeless appeal.
