Capri coffee table designed by Danish furniture designer Johannes Andersen and produced by Trensum Möbelfabrik in Sweden during the 1960s.

Executed in teak, the table is defined by its elongated asymmetrical top with softly rounded edges and a sculpted apron that flows into five slender tapered legs. Two shallow drawers are discreetly integrated into one side, preserving the continuous profile of the frame.

The organic form, carefully shaped timber and integrated storage are characteristic of Andersen’s approach to Scandinavian modern furniture.

Rare Swedish ceiling lamp from the Liberty series, produced by AB Elektroholm under the Elhå Belysning name during the 1940s. The designer remains unidentified, although Hans Bergström is known to have designed lighting for Elektroholm during the period.

The lamp combines a warm parchment diffuser with an elaborate brass wire framework of radial spokes, scalloped edges and delicate leaf motifs. When illuminated, the parchment creates a warm amber light while the open brass structure forms a striking floral silhouette.

Swedish room divider or freestanding screen, produced by Lublins around the 1940s–1950s.

Constructed entirely in pine, the screen consists of narrow vertical slats joined by horizontal bands, allowing it to be arranged in curved or serpentine configurations. Its simple construction and natural material relate closely to the Swedish tradition of sportstugemöbler.

A remarkable 1939 home in Ghent, designed by Belgian architect Gaston Eysselinck and recently restored by Joris Verdoodt and Gino Bulcke.

The interior retains the strong geometry and distinctive colour palette of Eysselinck’s original design, with ochre walls and contrasting dark detailing. Carefully preserved and revived, the house offers a striking example of Belgian modernism and its enduring character.

Uncommon mid-century sofa, likely produced in Finland during the 1960s. The design features a low, rectangular profile with a substantial mahogany base and solid block-like supports.

Newly upholstered in dark grey wool, the restrained form contrasts with the warm tone and pronounced grain of the mahogany.

Although the designer remains unidentified, the sofa reflects the geometric simplicity and material focus characteristic of Finnish modern furniture of the period.

Rare cabinet from the Sport series, designed by Axel Einar Hjorth for Nordiska Kompaniet (NK) in 1933.

Executed in acid-stained pine, the cabinet belongs to Hjorth’s celebrated Sportstugemöbler, developed for Swedish weekend and summer houses. Its restrained form emphasizes the natural grain and knots of the pine, with substantial wooden handles and boldly shaped transverse supports defining the construction.

The practical interior combines open shelving with two small drawers, reflecting the direct functionality and robust craftsmanship characteristic of Hjorth’s cabin furniture.

Villa Prenker, designed by Bruno Mathsson for office furniture manufacturer Helge Prenker in Kungsör, Sweden. Completed in the 1950s, the house combined a private residence with offices and an exhibition space.

Inspired by the American Case Study Houses Mathsson encountered during his travels in the United States, the design was adapted to the Nordic climate through innovations including insulated glazing known as Bruno Pane and underfloor heating. Its extensive glass façades and unusual plan create a striking example of Swedish post-war modernism.

Originally built to showcase furniture as well as provide a home, Villa Prenker reflects Mathsson’s wider interest in light, transparency and the relationship between interior and landscape.

Rare Bullhorn Chair, model JH-518, designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1960 and produced by master cabinetmaker Johannes Hansen in Copenhagen. Produced in limited numbers, it is among Wegner’s rarer and more sculptural chair designs.

Executed in richly figured teak with contrasting oak inlays, the chair is defined by its sweeping horn-shaped backrest, carefully sculpted into a fluid continuous form. The original natural leather seat has developed a warm patina with age, complementing the rich tones of the timber.

A refined example of Wegner’s mastery of organic form, material and traditional Danish craftsmanship.

Rare model 5029 wall lamp, designed by Swedish architect and designer Carl-Axel Acking for Bröderna Malmströms Metallvarufabrik in Malmö. The design is documented in the company’s 1940 catalogue.

Executed in brass with its original white lacquered reflector, the lamp features an asymmetric, softly curved form. A perforated brass shade directs light upward onto the broad reflector, creating a warm and diffused indirect illumination.

The combination of polished brass, white lacquer and an organic silhouette reflects the more expressive direction of Swedish Modern during the early 1940s.

MP-43 easy chair with matching ottoman, designed by Brazilian architect and furniture designer Percival Lafer and produced by Lafer MP in Brazil during the 1970s.

Upholstered in olive-green leather, the chair features a low, enveloping shell with deep button tufting and exposed leather lacing. A dark metal support connects the seat to a cruciform rosewood base, repeated in the matching ottoman.

An adjustable headrest and side-mounted lever further reflect Lafer’s experimental approach to comfort, construction and Brazilian modern design.
