A little of today’s work in the workshop.

A custom project is moving forward, four Saga boards came out of the clamps and got flattened and trimmed — and somewhere in between, I managed to make a small batch of coasters.

Nine in total, made from oak with dark accents.

Next up: sanding and finishing. Then the grain really comes to life.

Made to be used. Built to remain.

When Mickael purchased Runemarks III, he described exactly what I want Runewood to represent: care, patience and pride in the work — an object made properly, intended to be kept for life and perhaps passed on one day.

Runemarks III has found its home. The next piece is still ahead.

Not every piece of wood ends up where it was first intended.
This smoked oak is no longer suitable for an end-grain board, but the sound sections will still become accents and smaller details.

Not suitable. Not wasted.

After a long wait, the CNC is finally ready to move into the current Runewood workshop.

Once it is installed, it will open up new possibilities for engraving, inlays and custom work.

Första exemplaret såldes snabbt efter att jag visade det, och nu planerar jag en ny liten upplaga.

Varje exemplar tillverkas för hand i Runewoods verkstad i Småland, med fokus på material, tyngd och känsla.
Jag tar emot ett fåtal bokningar till nästa batch.
