🇵🇹 Deixem-nos contar-vos uma história sobre algo que aprendemos numa outra história.
Num lago aqui perto costumávamos encontrar um bicho estranho. Aquele aparente cruzamento entre camarão, grilo e ar**ha, resultava numa criatura que nunca antes tínhamos visto ou da qual alguma vez tivéramos ouvido falar.
Durante dois anos aceitámos esta coexistência sem mais questionar. Até que a semana passada abrimos o Mas o Que é Isto. E, na sequência de um pacto simples (“Escolhe três páginas para vermos antes de ires dormir.”), eis que ele nos surge. Ali, mesmo à nossa frente, personagem principal de toda uma página só a ele dedicada.
E o que descobrimos? Que estávamos perante a larva de nada mais nada menos que uma libélula.
Foi neste instante que todos os circuitos se ligaram e revimos num par de segundos toda a cadeia deste belo ciclo de vida. Desde os bichos no lago, aos exoesqueletos vazios à beira do rio e às maravilhosas libélulas e libelinhas que tornam as nossas idas ao rio mais coloridas.
Que privilégio este: a natureza e os livros, sempre a enriquecer as nossas vidas.

🇬🇧 Let us tell you a story about something we learned in another story.
In a pond nearby we used to find a strange critter. The apparent cross between a shrimp, a cricket and a spider, resulted in a creature we had never before seen or heard of.
For two years we accepted this coexistence without questioning any further. But after a simple pact (“Pick three pages for us to look at before you go to bed."), behold, it appeared. There, right in front of us, the main character of a whole page solely dedicated to its existence.
And what did we find out? That we were in front of the larva of nothing less than a dragonfly.
It was at this instant that everything started making sense and in a blink we could see a whole life cycle right in front of our eyes.
From the bugs in the lake, to the empty exoskeletons by the river and the wonderful dragonflies and damselflies that make our trips to the river more colourful.
What a privilege this is: nature and books, always enriching our lives.
