At The Upholstery House we also design and build bespoke sofas , chairs , ottomans , stools , footstools and headboards. Every chair and sofa is constructed from a solid beech frame , which is dowelled and jointed in the conventional way .We then incorporate traditional upholstery materials including coil springs , black and white webbing and boar bristle as the main stuffing. Time-honoured methods are used, including hand tying the springs and regulating the stuffing by hand , The result is a long lasting , beautiful, and above all , highly comfortable piece of furniture ...
