Eva and Nils Koppel asked Danish Poul Henningsen to design the lighting for a restaurant in Copenhagen’s Langelinie waterfront park in 1958, Henningsen revisited a radical design that he had abandoned more than 30 years prior: a ceiling light that resembled an upside-down artichoke.
