The Arborvitae Farm is a 5-hectare cocal land located in the Province of Aklan, Municipality of Makato, a 20 minute ride to Kalibo, the capital town of Aklan and 45 minutes to the famous Boracay Island. It is planted with more or less a thousand tacunan dwarf variety of coconut trees some 5 years back.
Because of its height (being dwarf literally), it is most suited for coconut sugar production, that even women can be employed as coconut tappers. Harvesting the coconut sap every 3-4 hours is a round the clock responsibility. It is a work of a patient and passionate coconut farmer.
Fresh and direct from our farm, we do the careful boiling of the harvested coconut sap to prevent fermentation. Likewise, the cooking process is rightfully done in the farm for a guaranteed freshness and 100% unadulterated finished product.
