When we were drafting our missions to guide us through our curation of home goods - we ideated with the phrase "to bring home the warmth and comfort of our filipino roots from various parts of the Philippines to shape your home."

We feel like we fulfill our mission when you get to resonate with our pieces - when it reminds you of the memories and experiences brought by our piece that shapes a space into a home.

We're home. Tahanan Furniture aims to craft consciousness in the Filipino home with bespoke and curated products by all Filipino makers. Our pieces are inspired by our own culture and traditional craftsmanship, with the use of natural materials and by way of sustainable practices. Reading a Letter, 1933, India ink with pencil⁣ on heavy paper by Fernando Amorsolo. Originally acquired by Whipple Hall and Ethel⁣ Crellin. Whipple Hall was American⁣ businessman who settled in Manila in 1909⁣ and then returned to America in 1936. One of⁣ the folders containing the drawings bears a⁣ notation by Ethel Crellin dated 1933.⁣
