I have woken up in all sorts of different situations and places here in the Philippines…

From a five star resort king size bed, to rolling over and opening my eyes in a nipa hut with a hoodie for a blanket. I remember one morning walking over to this "poso" to get some water and brush my teeth. It reminded of something...

It makes no difference. In the end, I woke up.

You see, there is nothing wrong with luxurious things in life, and there is nothing wrong with simple things in life. But there is something wrong if we don't realise that the ultimate comfort and luxury we have...

Is simply waking up.

That first breath, that opening of the eyes, and that gift to live another day in this world. Truly, that is the ultimate comfort and luxury...

Life.
