๐ฃ Congratulations to our 4th Year ECE Students on a Successful Final Defense!
๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐ | Last May 10, 2025, the 4th year Electronics Engineering students of UST-Legazpi proudly presented and defended their thesis projects at the CEAFA Building, Room F207. It was a big day filled with nerves, excitement, and pride as the students showcased months of hard work, guided by their dedicated advisers and evaluated by a respected panel of experts: Engr. Nikki Isabel Bunao, Engr. Emerson Reblando, Engr. Filomeno Plaza III, and Maโam Sherry Mae Llandelar.
A big congratulations to Donn Ian B. Baloloy, who passed with minor revisions for his research titled โDevelopment of Synchronized Human-Like Movement of Robotic Arm Using PID Controllerโ, under the guidance of Engr. Aldrin Jesse Ante. Also passing with minor revisions was the group of Emmanuel Jr. L. Alcazar, Laurence Andrei I. Nidea, and Justin A. Lanuza, who worked on โWireless Parking Space Detector Using Low-Cost Ultrasonic Sensors Combined With Image-Based Car Detectionโ, also advised by Engr. Ante.
The group of Justin Rey Foncardas, John Kendrick Marilla, and Mathew Brian De Asis successfully defended their project, โDesign and Implementation of an Adaptive PID Controller for Safety Mechanism: Threshold-based Power Cut-Offโ, with major revisions, under the mentorship of Engr. Emerson Reblando. Likewise, Nicholas Earl A. Santos, Chzing Zyemoln Miguel N. Nidea, and Martin Gerard M. Francia passed their defense with major revisions for their study, โAI-Enhanced Predictive Maintenance System for School-based HVAC Unitsโ, advised by Engr. Filomeno E. Plaza III.
Weโre incredibly proud of each group for reaching this milestone. Your perseverance, teamwork, and creativity really showed, and this achievement is a huge step forward as you prepare for whatโs next. Special thanks to the advisers who guided and supported the students throughout their journey.
