Spun began as an exploration of whether the process of metal spinning could be used to create something to sit on. To understand its geometry and ergonomics, the studio developed full-size prototypes and refined the design until it achieved an ergonomic shape that was not only comfortable but surprisingly enjoyable to sit on, with the ability to rotate and rock in three dimensions. The collaboration with Italian furniture manufacturer Magis brought Spun to life using rotation-moulded polypropylene.
