PSCA ALUMNI WHEREABOUTS

Another PSCA Pride is Meliza Reyes-Mateo, Class 2008, Batch 10 Certificate in Intermediate Culinary Arts. After finishing her course from PSCA, she worked in a commercial kitchen to gain experience in running a restaurant before venturing on her own. She opened Balay Ocho, a restaurant in General Santos City in 2017. Balay Ocho is a Filipino inspired restaurant with a gourmet twist, it serves your local favorite dishes that have been tweaked here and there so that diners could order their favorite local dishes and be surprised how different and new the taste of their local favorite dish is, a taste they would make their diners come back for more. It is the first of its kind resto in Gensan and is slowly but surely getting pretty well known around local diners and foodies that would love a good hearty meal. The design and concept of the restaurant is to make the diners feel at home while waiting for their favorite dish to be served at the table, a king of “ Waiting for Nanay’s Luto” feel.

Stephanie Roda Villar -Ramirez is a 2011 alumna of the PSCA, 10 months BAKING AND PASTRY ARTS program. In 2012 she was hired as a Service Associate at Shangri-las Mactan Resort and Spa and got promoted as Chef de Partie in 2017. Stephanie is now in Australia with her husband who is also a PSCA graduate. Stephanie is currently working as a Cake Decorator in Cake Biz Narellan-Camden Valleyway Narellan, NSW, Australia.
