We recently visited a couple in Mapandan, Pangasinan, who are building a home of their own.
The walls are still waiting for their final finish. There’s no paint yet, and some doors are still to come. But as we walked through the house, looking at the spaces and talking about the furniture they envisioned, we felt something that had nothing to do with how finished the house was.
We felt welcomed.
Their plans, once seen on blueprints and renderings, are beginning to take shape. Room by room, the home they’ve imagined is becoming a place they can soon call their own.
And now, they’re beginning to think about the furniture that will bring those spaces to life: a dining set, a sala set, bed frames, and the pieces that will make each room feel complete.
It’s a beautiful thing to be invited into that process.
Because we know that the furniture we make will become more than the finishing touches of a home. The dining table may become the place where they share meals after long days. The sofa may hold conversations, laughter, and quiet evenings together. The bed may be where they find rest after everything the day has asked of them.
These are just pieces of furniture to someone passing by. But to the people who will live with them, they may become part of the moments they remember for the rest of their lives.
And to us, that’s one of the most meaningful parts of what we do.
We may help bring a vision to life through design and craftsmanship, but it’s the people who live in these spaces who fill them with meaning.
To this couple, thank you for welcoming us into your home while it’s still becoming everything you’ve imagined. We’re grateful to be a small part of your journey.
