There’s a certain hum in the AFC office when projects are really moving. 💚

Planning and executing an interior project takes far more than choosing beautiful things. There are layouts to review, materials to compare, details to confirm, suppliers to coordinate, purchases to track, budgets to manage, installations to plan, and hundreds of decisions happening behind the scenes.

Today, the office had that full “hive” feeling — everyone working through different pieces of the puzzle, sharing ideas, solving problems, and moving projects forward together.

That’s the part we love to show off: a team that is not only creative, but organized, resourceful, and genuinely invested in making sure our clients’ projects are carried through from idea to ex*****on.

And in the middle of all that activity, we also celebrated Sherry’s birthday. 🎂🥳

Good news for anyone considering buying a new property in Panama — including international buyers and investors. 🇵🇦

Panama’s new Law 546 has restored an important tax benefit on the first sale of newly built residential properties, with the first $120,000 of the property’s taxable value exempt from the 2% Real Estate Transfer Tax (ITBI).

And the benefit isn’t limited to properties priced under $120,000 — it can also apply to the first $120,000 of higher-value qualifying purchases.

For buyers looking at Panama’s growing number of new developments, it’s another reason to take a closer look.

Welcome Lois to the AFC Interiors team! ✨

We’re very happy to introduce Lois Langmaid, our new Architect and Designer at AFC Interiors.

Lois is a Structural Architect and graduate of Universidad Santa María La Antigua (USMA), with several years of experience in architectural design, technical drawings, project coordination, permitting, and construction supervision.

Her experience across both residential and commercial projects gives her a strong understanding of what happens between an idea on paper and a finished space — from materials and technical documentation to site coordination and the realities of construction.

Now, Lois is bringing that technical background to AFC Interiors while expanding further into the creative side of interior design.

Lois says:

"I’m very excited to be part of AFC Interiors because I see interior design as a natural extension of architecture and an opportunity to explore the creative side of design in more detail. I’m especially excited to contribute my experience while learning from the AFC Interiors team. I’ve already found the team to be incredibly intelligent, creative, talented, and genuinely lovely to work with, which makes me even more excited about this new chapter."

And she really did jump straight in! 📐 Within days, Lois was already out on site, measuring, reviewing project details, and getting involved in the work underway.

We’re excited to have her architectural experience, technical eye, and growing interior design perspective on the AFC team — and we’re looking forward to seeing what she brings to our projects in Panama City and at the beaches. 💚

Welcome Meredith to the AFC Interiors team! ✨

Introducing Meredith Robles - our new Interior Designer.

Meredith is an Interior Design graduate from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Panama. Her journey in design includes various sides of the industry, including valuable experience in furniture design and sales where she developed a deeper understanding of clients and their needs.

At AFC Interiors, Meredith with be working closely with Amy to plan, design and install beautiful and functional interiors for our clients in Panama City and the beaches areas.

Meredity says: "I’m excited to begin a new chapter as part of AFC Interiors! I’m especially excited about this opportunity because it allows me to keep growing as a designer, learn from an amazing team, take on new challenges, and bring my own creativity and perspective into the world of interior design."

We're so excited too! 😀 Meredith has already picked up her measuring tape and jumped in to assist with our projects on the go. We look forward to her talented contributions at AFC Interiors.
