Well this wasnt quite the plan we had in mind for our Business .Unfortunately due to ill health ,WHITIANGA UPHOLSTERY has closed its doors .I would like to Thank all my Customers so very much for the opportunity to reupholster your furniture ,I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to restore some amazing pieces of furniture, from chaise Lounges to old style dining chairs ,Lounge suites and arm chairs of all shape and size .Often i felt like some of my customers became more like friends that i bumped into around town,and felt so lucky to be given ,Whitebait ,fresh farm eggs ,to hot pies from the bakery or a bag of avocados ...It shows what a wonderful community Whitianga is .I will leave this page open for the time being as i have a few photos that have not been seen .Again a HUGE THANK YOU and may you all have a blessed Christmas .Kindest regards Warren ,Debz

Another interesting Job this year ,a Barbers Chair circa 1894 ,i had the opportunity to reupholster this in a natural leather hide and brought back some of the old school skills to complete it as an original ,with a front edge roll out off straw, to lace webbing the springs in the seat .One of those jobs you enjoy doing .....Pics show 100 years of hair found in the backrest (sorry for the squeamish )

OK ...Its been way too long i know .....Sometimes life gets in the way of life ...lets see if we can start showing the fruits of my labour of the past year ,this particular style of chair i remember from my childhood ,we had one in our family home ,most comfortable chair ever .

Sometimes a chair comes along that reminds you of the good old days ....Here is a couple of legends from the Morgan 1970s era .No springs ,just a slung canvas ,super comfortable This Particular Customer ,wove her own fabric for me to use .

A follow up Chair that went with The Chaise lounge ,A early model Air rest Recliner Chair,Probably circa 1970.Getting a little worn ,But again classic Nz made ,proving the test of time .

A 3 seater settee i was asked to redesign,using Tasman ,wild west ranch Leather ,and Warwicks Fabrics, Macro soft Fabric for the cushions .A great combination . My Customer was very pleased with the results ,as was i :)
