Fisher & Paykel’s new Auckland
Experience Centre is the result of a design collaboration between Fisher & Paykel, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, Alt Group and
Knight Associates. If you’re lucky enough to visit – and we recommend you do! – you’ll find an incredible sequence of sculptural elements and natural materials representing Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei ancestral narratives,
as well as luxury kitchens designed with Arclinea, Boffi and Henrybuilt. We’re proud to have contributed to this tactile and inspiring representation of Designed in Aotearoa New Zealand.

He Tohu

The He Tohu Exhibition houses exhibits 3 iconic documents that shaped Aotearoa’s history including the Treaty of Waitangi . Visit and learn about New Zealand histories , the journey these documents have taken and what they mean to us .

The NZ natural timber company was contacted to supply large dimension sustainable NZ native Rimu timber that was procured through the wind fallen timber that was produced after cyclone ITA 2014 in the Kahurangi region of the South Island’s West Coast

This incredible project truly showcases the potential and boundaries that can be pushed with timber construction and ambitious architects

Some impressive Totara logs from our recent salvage completed last month . These 800 year old logs were pulled from the river beds in central North Island.
NZ Montain Totara is one the most naturally durable timbers available in nz and is an excellent product for exterior and interior applications .
This timber will be showcased at the Auckland international airport beautification project

It was coating day today!

This is 90 year old Eucalyptus Saligna 135x20mm, watershed finished in our Natural Timber Oil. This outstanding Eucalyptus Saligna was grown right here in New Zealand.

Back into the deepest natural forests of the Central Plateau to carefully extract fallen Totara logs with the help of the mighty black hawk helicopter on loan to us from our friends across the ditch.
Heli-logging offers us a way of extracting the timber without any damage to the natural forests.

These precious logs have been laying here as early as the 1950’s and remain in perfect condition due to the incredible natural durability of the Totara Heartwood.

Watch this space this space to see the timber being repurposed for the next century and beyond!

Clever detailing work from the team in this north shore renovation

Our 190mm wide ‘Stretto’ board was used with a custom Tover oil colour applied to give just the right amount of depth to a darker toned timber floor whilst retaining the Oak’s identity beneath
