This little beauty of a Rimu side table was in dire need of some love.

From water marked, scratched & flaking polyurethane to perfectly sealed with a natural finish oil hard wax, that works with the timber to emphasise its grain and highlight its unique features all the while ensuring it is well protected.

This is one from a three piece Rimu set.

Poplar Walking Stick x Walnut & Epoxy serving board.

These were a couple of little side quests I carried out inn between jobs.

The Poplar walking was pretty time consuming, but quite fun at the same time, there was plenty of hand tooling and shaping during the process.

And, on that note, we are now taking bookings for the end of April and beyond.

So, bring us your idea, whether it be an oversize dining table or a small serving board, or even a walking stick... We have you covered!

This was my last completed job, before we took off overseas for our year long journey that is almost coming to an end!
Ready to get back and build an incredible table that has been a long time in the making!

The bench top in the photos was made from a complete Rimu slab(of extremely poor condition) that I milled into dimensional timber and laminated together.
I decided to be a bit bold and stain it charcoal black and finished it with Rubio Monocoat.

I must add that this was for our home that we were in the late stages of renovating.
It is now the centre piece in our laundry.
I had the most fun transforming this room from drab to fab!

P.s. Please do take note of the sneaky little end grain board, that turned into a Christmas gift!
