I’ve been very quiet online lately but I think I’m ready to start posting again. I’ll show you what I’ve been busy with - starting with this slipper chair makeover.

I was given 2 of these as they were no longer needed by their owner. I don’t often say no when I’m offered a chair 😉. I envisioned great things for these 2 plain Janes. Wait and see what I’ve got in mind. Dull and boring they will not be!

Sold!!! I was so happy to sell this chair to a wonderful lady who shares my love of colour and all things bright. But on the other hand, I get quite attached to my chairs so I was also sad to see it go… I’m hoping you can understand what I mean by that. Some would say – you’re never happy! You can’t have it both ways. I AM happy. It’s a wonderful feeling when something you make is loved enough by someone else that they want to have it in their homes. Thank you!

I’ve had a really long break over the summer but I’m back in the studio (who am I kidding? Single garage stuffed with chairs, fabric, cushions, hubby’s tools and so much more). What a glorious summer it’s been and I was so happy to be able to show off the best of New Zealand weather to family from overseas. I also got to see some of NZ myself - including this gorgeous mosaic chair and footstool in Hagley Park in Christchurch! But now it’s time to get back to reality and I’ll be showing you what I’m working on over the next few weeks as I slowly get back into posting.

It's so special when someone buys a cushion from you and then shares a photo of it in their home. That way you get to see their vision and how it completes the look of their room. This client knew straight away that she wanted the little embroidered cushion and she was spot on! It ties in perfectly with the plants by her bedhead and really pulls the whole look together. It made my day 😀
