From design concept drawing to installation
This project started with a conversion about wanting a feature wall that incorporated acoustic panels the tv mounted on the wall and some sort of cabinet underneath to hold the soundbar,

After a few designs this is what we came up with
Panels don’t go all the way to the ceiling as at this height they match the height of all the windows
Cables were hidden inside the wall for the tv
The cabinet was made from 25mm thick black wood grain melamine with clear oak edging and custom handles on Blum metal box drawers
We chose the 25mm board just because it adds to the custom made aspect

Exciting project on the cards
Just about to start machining up this American hard maple for the first part of this project,
200x50 maple at 3.2m length

On my benc today is this rimu vanity top that needed a bit of a modification to fit the new bowl,
Using masking tape to protect the surface we were able to make out our cut lines,
Behind the new bowl we had to add a patch where the original hole was too wide,
The customer will now refinish the top and attach the bowl
Here we were able to work with the customer to achieve their vision and also letting them do as much as they wanted to do

These vanity drawer fronts came in with a broken style and missing edge tape,
We replaced the style matching the grain all the way through and put new rimu edge tape on, customer was very happy again and we even found some old handles we had lying around that suited what he was after,

We crafted this bookcase for some dusty old recycled rimu we found sitting in the back of someone’s farm shed

When the customer came to collect from our showroom they didn’t even notice it
I promptly pointed it out
“ that’s not ours “
Yes it sure is
“ wow thats too good for us “
“It’s wonderful”
“How much more do we owe you”

Nothing, meeting and exceeding your expectations is what we always try to do

Customer came to us with some rimu shelves that they made wanting advice on how to hang them with hidden brackets,
We sourced some for them and also drilled and routed out the back of shelf for them
