Originally from the Great Bedwyn, UK, I'm now making the most of beach life in the Bay of Plenty, NZ. Made By HAND is an opportunity for me to combine quality stylish design with practical furniture and storage solutions. Just finished this handy jandal/flip flop box for our deck. A real beach house necessity! Had some old wooden shelves that worked out perfectly for the job. Designed a pull out middle compartment to make it easy to get them out and shake off any sand. Thinking of using up the rest of the shelves to make some more to sell. What do you think?

Just finished a rimu desk and found the perfect spot! Transformed a spare room into a new office space with this bespoke rimu desk as inspiration. Used upcycled rimu floorboards with a simple Danish oil finish, black finish hairpin legs and some extra detail on top. Love that the rimu has embedded 'scars' from its previous life.
