📣 Announcement 📣

Unfortunately, it's a sad one. Last week I should have been releasing my first creative piece since my shoulder surgery. It's so close to being finished. Then this week I should have been confirming commission bookings.

But as I'm told.. life gets in the way of your plans sometimes.

Sadly last Saturday I was in a serious head on car crash very close to home, when tourists were on the wrong side of the road.
I'm grateful to be alive and with time I'll be just fine.
For now I have a pretty busted foot, I'm the colour of the rainbow and it's hard to move about.

For now The Altered Rose will remain temporarily closed... once again 😭

Mentally this is incredibly hard to have this huge physical set back.

The Altered Rose will be back again... I promise!

May the 4th may be star wars day to many, but to me it's ANNIVERSARY DAY!

4 years ago I officially launched The Altered Rose. Whilst this past year has seen no growth in the business itself... Thanks to a corrupt employee, my shoulder...
It's given me plenty of time to reflect and look at how I will move forward.

You will see more consistency through the rest of the year in style and design. Evolving is nessercary and inevitable.

With a big personal week ahea, the first release of 2025 will come week beginning 12th May. So stay tuned!

Mia isn't overally impressed that I'm back at work. Less play time and snuggles for her 🤭

I'm easing into things and getting my confidence back on how much the Ole shoulder can take in a day.

Books will be re-opening to commissions very soon, so stay tuned.

HEY!!
I just did my first, of 3, 5 minute sanding tests as part of my back to work rehab. 🥳🥳🥳
Woooo. Did 1 Grit of 1 whole drawer. 🤣🤣

We're kicking goals over here folks.

I cannot wait to get back to work!!!! My algorithms are showing me lots of furniture restoration, so I'm clearing missing it. When I'm working I don't want to see any. 🫣

Recovery is going so well, I'm in the stage of... 'I'm not meant to do that yet, but I want to' 🤭

Exciting progress on being allowed to push the lawn-mower for 20 minute blocks, some heavier lifting and have started some weighted rehab exercises. Bring on the sander!

I'll be working part-time this year (hopefully) in other endeavors but have so many wonderful things to bring you in 2025.

In the meantime I have one last piece of inventory left.

Happy New Year from mine to yours 🎉🎉

If you've been here awhile you'll know I'm not mad to see the end of 2024.
But 2025 is here and we are eyes forward, game face on.
Rehab on my shoulder is going great and I expect to be back on the tools part-time soon.

I've had a lot of time to imagine and dream so expect to see a few new things this year.
