A Shout Out to say THANKS today to the NZ Lottery Grants Board.
Our National Toy Library Federation assisted Toy Libraries around NZ with securing essential funding. Our Eastbourne Toy Library has put our grant to use straight away! This grant helped us this year to pay towards our Librarian's wages, Rent and also we bought a few new toys. Thanks to Alex for the great picture of Mai making the most of this wonderful Spinning Sensory Toy.
Grants like this are of such importance to keep tiny charities like ours running 🙂 And the tamariki smiling!
We are very grateful! Thank you!

KIa ora
We hope you all stayed safe and sound during the recent storm. It certainly left its mark!

We're trying to track down part of the above new big toy that has been very popular since purchased late last year. The trampoline part is now in the library, but the other parts are missing: -
- Big blue fabric bag
- Ball pit base (like a paddle pool)
- 100 ('prox) plastic coloured balls
- Instruction booklet

Please, please, if you can shed any light on where these may be, just get in touch. We'd be most grateful. They can't have gone walk-abouts.

Thank you!

Kia ora,
I’m a mum of four (ages 5, 4, 2, and 11 months), a primary school teacher, a children’s author, and the owner of an online toy and book store, The Treasure Trove. As I’ll be closing the store after Christmas to allow more time for my family and writing, I wanted to reach out to see if anything from the toy store might be of interest to your Toy Library.
I understand you may be closed for the year now, however, I thought you may appreciate the opportunity to stock up on any toys or books that could be a good fit for your Toy Library for 2026. I’m currently running a store-wide clearance sale as I work to sell my remaining stock before Christmas.

As a small thank-you, I also have a special offer for Toy Libraries:

Free shipping and a free gift with any order over $150
(Use code freeship at checkout)

If possible, I would also be incredibly grateful if you could share my website (www.thetreasuretrove.co.nz) and sale details with your members and whānau, in case they’d like to purchase something while the sale is on. Your support truly makes a difference and helps me close this chapter in a positive way as I shift my focus to family and writing.
Thank you so much for your time and support.

The package was sent quickly and the toys are amazing! We love them so much!! Our daughter loves the cloud ribbons! She focuses on them and loves the sound the bells make.
