It was an absolute privilege being able to work with Abbeyfield WBOP to create these tables

The Abbeyfield home stands on land that was once part of the Clarke family farm before the property was eventually divided and sold. We are grateful to Theo van Rijen, who sold Abbeyfield the section at a very generous price.

The timber used to create this table also has a special connection to the original farm. It was milled from a Redwood tree that once stood on the property. When the tree had to be removed a few years ago, Theo generously donated several slabs of the timber to Abbeyfield, enabling us to create a table perfectly suited to the home. We extend our sincere thanks to Theo for his ongoing kindness and support.

This beautiful table was crafted by Chris Oliver of Bespoke Timbers in Katikati. It is a stunning piece, one that will bring residents together to sit, share meals, and enjoy each other’s company.

Will never get tired of working with our NZ native, Rimu. Such a warm and inviting timber.
With the added character of being reclaimed timber, these pieces will be a focal point and will be much loved in their new forever home.

It's always such a pleasure to see our creations in their final environment.
This coffee table in Victorian Ash (Tazie Oak), measuring 1.2 m square, was a combination of ideas the client had seen and liked, and had a vision to combine them to create exactly what they wanted for their space.

These ideas were given to us here at Bespoke Timbers to bring to life - the results speak for themselves

Another very 'Bespoke' job completed and installed. Recycled rimu - back into the house it came out of!

Timber fins to help tuck parts of the house away, such an epic idea in a smaller space! Also compliments the space well.

There is just nothing like a good grain! A real classic coffee table that will stand the test of time, with the added bonus of somewhere to stash remotes or devices. Always love seeing the personality come out in the timber when it's finished though 🤩

A true 'bespoke' build on this unit, built to fit in a home office space. Our customer wanted a solid timber unit, with a custom white finish featuring an oak top for a bit of a modern twist. This 3 metre unit is the perfect space for books, office bits and pieces and still room for some display - while keeping it all tidy!

Anything you can think of, we can make happen. Love these true 'bespoke' build pieces!

2024 Update 🔔

Where to begin! The last few years have been a big adjustment so here's a few notes to start-

- Bespoke Timbers made a big move. In 2020 we took the reins of what was Dewhurst Woodworking and moved it north to Katikati. Since then we have been based out of our workshop in Katikati and are loving being out here.

- We have completed such a range of incredible jobs from bedroom and occasional furniture to large custom units and even some special commercial work.

- A new workshop manager was appointed, although he's a bit 'ruff' around the edges he's fitted in well around the workshop. Lucky he doesn't mind a good piece of timber too!

Over the next few weeks we will be sharing a whole heap of photos of what has been happening in the workshop. Until then, hit like and follow along.

A positive few weeks back in the workshop since the lockdown. This is the time to be supporting local retailers, we are lucky to work alongside some great ones!
Just a few examples of what we have been up to lately and the end result from the team at 👌
