Today is World Earth Day,
Here's our contribution, here at Hands On, we take great care to recycle where possible,
To the left is our metal cage, all old paint pots, staff drink cans, retired or broken equipment and other scrap is separated and sent to the metal dealers, the shed centre of shot is our wash bay, Here we recycle used solvent, this also holds a full size bath tub, all waterborne equipment is washed out with the waste water going into the 1000 litre holding tank to the right, we then add Floculants to make all paint solids sink to the bottom, once this is done we syphon the clear water off the top into the sewer, and only the paint solids are sent to land fill.
All 4 litre paint pots are reused many times as work pots, prior to disposal, all 10 liitre buckets are recycled as well,

Painting can be a dirty job full of hazardous solvents, and waste, but with our methods Im proudly confident we as a small decorating company are doing our part to leave the planet a little cleaner.
