This record player and storage cabinet was made last week for Andy. It is made of solid rustic oak wood with a solid walnut slab on the top. All 9 cubed sections are individually made then assembled with a negative detail.

A careful restoration on this lovely Regency-style writing table.

With its elegant turned supports and sweeping legs, the design has its roots in the Regency period of the early 1800s.

The legs were becoming quite unstable, so we strengthened and secured them, followed by a very light refinish to freshen the timber while keeping its original character.

Sometimes the best clue to a piece of furniture’s past is hidden underneath. The owner of this beautiful elm table looked at the underside and discovered what it had originally looked like and wanted it restored.

We have restored this substantial Victorian-style kauri chest, which has been in Jenny's family for four generations.

The design has many hallmarks of late Victorian to early Edwardian furniture, including the graduated drawers, turned wooden handles, strong architectural side rails and decorative moulding. It has an unusual arrangement of smaller drawers surrounding the central panel, above three generous full-width drawers.

Furniture of this style was designed to be both beautiful and practical. Smaller drawers could be used for personal items, jewellery and accessories, while the larger drawers provided plenty of room for clothing and household linens.

Sometimes you want to give your completed Lego creations a permanent home. This oak cabinet has the Star Trek Enterprise and characters with chasing rainbow coloured LED lights above it. The top shelf adds extra storage or a place to display plants.

This beautiful Scotch chest has been in a family for four generations. All of the internal parts of the bottom drawer were replaced due to a significant amount of borer. One side of the second drawer was replaced for the same reason. Several drawers had repairs to the runners due to wear and tear. Two of the lower drawers had all of the runner systems replaced due to wear. The chest was fully borer treated. A split in one side was repaired. The two large turned sections in the front were reattached as they were loose. The whole unit was refinished to remove minor scratches and scuffs.

More than just a Bench

This beautiful bench has been in Franci's family for generations. Around 1975, it was accidentally flung from the back of a moving truck onto a dusty Namibian road and wasn't discovered missing until weeks later. Once reunited with the family, Franci's Oupa lovingly repaired it, and his repair lasted for nearly 50 years.

The bench also holds precious family memories. Both Franci's mother and, years later, Franci herself recovered from childhood illnesses while resting on this very bench in their grandparents' home.
