Well, this is the post I don’t want to write and most don’t want to read. However sometimes good things come to an end, and our time to stop has arrived. Unfortunately Covid, for me, has taken its toll financially and mentally on my life.

We have moved on as I mentioned a few weeks ago I’m now working for Dave n Marie Holden here at Versatile and as of this week I have sold the trailer. The bonus is it’s been brought by a local so you will continue to see it about.

I would like to thank everyone who has brought from us over the years and especially a big thanks to our Cromwell customers. You have helped me get this far and helped build a respected following for takeaways here. I’m just sorry I can’t carry on for you.

I’d like to say a big thanks for the support n help from Asta, Scharelene, Keegan, Aleshia & Pip in the trailer over the past 18mths. Above all a big thanks for the support n backing from Hannah over the last ten years I’ve been cooking. Thank you.

So if I don’t get to see you tomorrow, then thank you for your support and hope to see you about town sometime.

So a few big changes this week. I have taken up a role this week with Versatile here in town and as such will now only be out on a Friday and Saturday nights. It’s my intention to place the business up for sale in the next week with the hope that someone is keen to grow it further here in town. So until then we will continue with the same menu, service and banter that has defined us since starting SouthernFare ten years ago.

Friday 22nd 5:00-8:00pm
Saturday 23rd 5:00-8:00pm

Bit mixed bag his week, will be Closed Thursday, as had some minor surgery, culminating in 6 stitches, on my hand yesterday. Saturday I’ll be closed as we will be Ophir for a function that night.

THURSDAY 14th. Closed
FRIDAY 15th. Barry Ave from 5:00pm
SATURDAY 16th. Closed. Pvt function Ophir.

Busy today out at Poolburn with the Central Otago Motorcyle Club on the first round of the Southern Series. Been a great day out, tho for a couple riders not so as they where granted helicopter rides 😢🤦‍♀️.
