We've been busy working on this project over the last couple of weeks. This was our first time making a pair of 3-drawer bedside tables.

We remembered to capture the process that went into making these tables, and of course the final home where the tables just somehow seem to fit right in ❤️.

We have two handcrafted cheeseboards available, made from repurposed hardwood.

Each board has been carefully shaped, sanded and finished with food-safe oil, highlighting the natural grain and character of the wood. No two boards are the same, making every piece truly one of a kind.

Perfect for serving cheese, fruit, tapas, or creating a beautiful grazing platter when entertaining.

They also make a great gift for birthdays, anniversaries and housewarmings 😉.

Dimensions:

Board #1: 54.5cm (longest part of the board including handle) x 20 cm wide x 2cm thick

Board #2: 39.5 cm (longest part of the board including handle) x 20cm wide x 2 cm thick

Beautiful serving board crafted from a single piece of repurposed hardwood, finished with food-grade stain and resin. Features a smoothly shaped handle for easy carrying, serving, and storage.

One side has been left intentionally unpolished and lightly torch-charred to create a rustic look.

Lovingly refurbished set of drawers - meticulously sanded, restored and repainted on top, sides, back and insides with dark blue, while retaining the original wood tone at the front. Treated with varnish to bring out the wood grain and ensuring durability.

Drawers seems like it was constructed from a sturdy, heavy timber material. Wood unknown.

Lovingly crafted bedside tables from repurposed Rimu, finished with Danish oil that brings out the warm tone and wood grain. Selling for $380.

Plenty of space for your belongings: a table-top for a photo, phone and/or lamp; a cute drawer to put your treasures in, and a bottom shelf for books and other knick-knacks.

It comes with some imperfections as the Rimu has had a previous life, but that makes it even more unique as you won't ever find the same set anywhere else! Buy it knowing the timber has been given a second chance in life!

Our latest commissioned piece - a friend wanted a custom-made board for their baking. Definitely a small challenge when soft and hardwood were combined this way!

We like the contrast of dark and light, plus woodgrain patterns -- looks more like a chess board!

After a long hiatus, we have completed another set of lovingly crafted bedside tables from repurposed Rimu, finished with Danish oil that brings out the warm tone and wood grain. Selling for $380.

As we celebrate Matariki, the Māori New Year, following closely after Kaamatan and Gawai, we’re reminded of the deep similarities between our cultures — even across oceans. These traditions honour the gifts of the earth, the strength of community, and the rhythms of renewal.

Such shared values inspire our work: to reuse, repair, and refurbish with care and intention. Like our ancestors, who respected the land and used its resources wisely, we strive to honour that legacy by giving materials a second life and reducing waste.

This season, we pause to give thanks — for what we have, what we can restore, and the future we are helping to shape.
