We are currently closed.

On September 3, 2024, Mark passed away peacefully in his sleep, aged 63 years. Dearly loved husband of Sharyn, cherished Dad of Stacey, and Michelle, and father-in-law of Dean, and Michael. Devoted son of Bev and the late John, loved brother and brother-in-law of Sherie and Eric, and Shane. Adored Pop of Beau; Brody; and Zoe, loved by all in the wider family and friends. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Mark O'Connor, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A celebration of Mark's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Friday, September 13 at 10.00am. Followed by interment at Shands Road Cemetery.

Meet the duo!

This is Mark – designer, canvas and upholstery trademen. Mark has been in the industry for over 45 years, where he has held numerous positions including being a judge for the canvas apprenticeship awards. Mark’s own design of a lightweight, ropeless, full length caravan awning won the general category at the 2009 OFPANZ national awards! His attention to detail will impress and his custom designs will amaze you.

Mark grew up in the army and volunteered at Ruapuna speedway for 35 years, starting with working on the
offshoot gate and moved up to vice president of the club! 🏁 Mark’s now retired from speedway to concentrate and spend more time on this business. Mark enjoys taking their lightweight caravan, which he redesigned and rebuilt, for holidays around the South Island, his favourite beer is kingfisher and he’s always up for any new challenge! 🍻
