I am now offering a knife (and scissor) sharpening service via courier.

Step 1: 
Contact me by text or call 022 642 0775, to arrange to have a knife box sent to your address.

Step 2: 
Pack your knives etc in the knife box, screw the lid down. 
Replace the courier label with the prepaid courier return label that came inside the box. 
Drop off at your nearest NZPost Agent.

Step 3: 
I receive the knives and text or email you the bill, you pay online.

Step 4: 
I sharpen the knives and courier them back to you carefully wrapped up, the same or the next day.

Step 5: 
You re-discover where the band-aids are kept.

As well as designing and building furniture and cabinetry, I have found a passion for culinary knive

This Sunday is the last chance before Christmas to have knives sharpened and get a bespoke knife as a handsome gift.

As you probably know shipping is running at a snail's pace.
So any purchases made up to 11:59 on Wednesdays, will be hand-delivered to locations Pukekohe to Orewa and Oratia to Clevedon, on Thursdays. 
Orders outside Auckland will still be sent with NZPost.

Clippers from $12

Secateurs, loppers and clippers can be simple one bolt contraptions, which are simple, or multiple levered and pivoted monsters which are time consuming to take apart, clean and grease.
Tools are sometimes left outside causing substantial rust which can also take extra time to clean up before reassembly.
Finally, some loppers and clippers get bent which may require remedial straightening in a press.
All of this means if the tools are simple and in reasonably good condition they will be $12 otherwise the price may rise to $15 or thereabouts.

Hi, Phillip here again. As promised all my new knives are on my blackrobinknives.com website. I've been working on them for months. A handmade knife makes a meaningful gift. Also, apparently they're quite useful too.
