That is why we make furniture from discarded wood otherwise destined for incineration. By giving forgotten wood a new life, we protect living trees. By refusing toxic chemicals, we protect nature and people. By designing a low-threshold production process, we have made an inclusive employment model. And by building a local, cooperative production, we support the local economy.
Meanwhile, the world is burning. Seas are rising. Glaciers are melting. People are being excluded. Still, most industries – including the traditional furniture industry – continue to put profit above people and planet.
