Tretorget er en del av Biobord Network, som skal fortsette å utvikle og vedlikeholde Biobord-plattformen - møteplassen for bioøkonomiaktører rundt Østersjøen!

Official Biobord Network is here!

The official Biobord Network was established in October 2020 between former RDI2CluB-project partners.

The main goal of the network is to secure the future of Biobord-platform, Operating Model and Joint Action Plan. As well as the well-function transnational co-operation between former project partners. The focus of the network is to develop in the Baltic Sea Region and solve common challenges.

Eight organizations around Baltic Sea Region and from different sectors signed Biobord Network agreement:

The agenda for the first year of Biobord Network (OCT 2020 - OCT 2021) is to form the network functions and gain new members.

First we start with an excellent case from Norway: The Ydalir Neighbourhood – a Zero Emission Neighbourhood - ZEN 🏡🌱🌞

SUSTAIN BIODIVERSITY and ECOSYSTEM SERVICES

Ydalir is a new neighbourhood aiming to become a Zero Emission Neighbourhood. When building the houses, the most novel, environmentally friendly solutions will be used, and emissions that cannot be avoided will be compensated by the production of cleaner energy, i.e. solar cells. INCREASING BUSINESS competitiveness

Innlandet Elementfabrikk uses wood fiber for walls and insulation to create breathable buildings with an excellent indoor climate and thus, healthy homes. The use of 100 % wood in the walls increase the storage of carbon, and good insulation reduces the use of energy for cooling and heating. RDI2CluB presenterer sine fem regionale piloter utviklet gjennom transnasjonal dialog og samarbeid for å styrke bioøkonomien i Norge, Finland, Latvia og Polen!

-project : A Report on Regional Pilot Cases for Developing the Bioeconomy Innovation Ecosystem and Solutions around the Baltic Sea Region 🤩🎖

For three years, since the launch of the Interreg Baltic Sea Region program’s co-funded project “Rural RDI milieus in transition towards smart clusters and innovation ecosystem” (RDI2CluB), the partner regions from Finland 🇫🇮, Estonia 🇪🇪, Latvia 🇱🇻, Norway 🇳🇴 and Poland 🇵🇱 have been building a network of stakeholders – researchers, entrepreneurs, business developers, policy and decision makers –and a set of innovative tools and methods to reinvigorate rural areas and nurture their economies while contributing to a more sustainable future for all.

This report showcases five solutions (Regional Pilot Cases) developed in and tested as result of dialogue and co-creation among the bioeconomy regions of Central Finland, Inland Region in Norway, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship in Poland, Vidzeme Region in Latvia and Estonia.

1. The Biobord – an online forum where researchers, entrepreneurs, and business developers can meet and collaborate on innovative bioeconomy solutions: https://biobord.eu

2. Waakku – a mobile application for connecting rural entrepreneurs with services and workforce

3. Promoting biomass heating to improve air quality and living standards for residents in spa towns in Poland

4. Using advanced technology and knowledge sharing to promote high-value organic farming in Latvia

5. Development of an international, multidisciplinary and multi-sectoral network for the sustainable management of wildlife populations in the Northern Hemisphere.
