Cast iron repairs carried out by the Metalock Process is widely accepted as the best
method of repairing all cracked, broken and damaged castings in cast iron, for a wide range of industries in a multitude of apllications.

PORTABLE REPAIRS

ON SITE MACHINING

With these machines we can perform regular maching tasks but
also customized machining tasks that are necessary to complete the job.

the downtime of the installations we work on can be minimized because you can
eliminate for example the transportation cost of the machined piece to a workshop.

Metalock “On-Line” Refractory Repairs
Metalock On-Line Refractory Repair is a unique method of diagnosing and solving many, previously un-repairable, problems on blast furnaces and other refractory systems.
Repairs are performed while the system is at full production.
Thermal inspection with an infra red camera, in advance, monitoring and controlling during repairs is a very important part of our services. Technical reports will be delivered after every repair or thermal inspection.
We use resin based sealant field tested over 1300 degrees C. instead of water based grout. We perform our repairs while the wind is on and you are still making iron. Our methods are field proven, not speculative ideas. We are able to show results as the job progresses and we are able to determine exactly where the problem is and when it is solved. Our hot spot process does not put undue pressure on the refractory because we are sealing the cracks, not bulk filling. Metalockis the only company capable of finding cracks in your pipe, stove or shell while still in their early stages. Metalockis totally mobile. We can take our equipment to the area we are working on, such as stack, furnace top, stove dome, bustle pipe or hot blast main.
