Espenaer is an Amsterdam-based artisanal woodworking atelier that designs and makes one-off sustainable handcrafted furniture pieces and provides woodworking courses and workshops. We offer our work for sale on our website and make bespoke furniture pieces upon request. We adhere to an alternative economic philosophy that values simple, slow, small, and sustainable production, and observe it in our work with a devotion to artisanship, individuality, and environmentalism.

Are you looking for a special way to present your culinary creations on your holiday feast table or are you still in need of a gift for a loved one?

I present you handmade serving boards made out of various types of wood (all either reclaimed, salvaged, or leftover). Each is made as a one-off and has a unique pattern and combination of wood types. In this post there are just three models shown, but there are many more on my website. If you want to be sure to get in time before the holidays, come pick your board up in Amsterdam. For those who prefer delivery: I will put orders on the mail (from Amsterdam) the next working day after the payment for the order is received. Bonsai table 'Wortelen', designed and made in 2018 as a one-off commissioned piece. Fully crafted by hand out of reclaimed meranti and salvaged black locust. The marble top was also reclaimed. Joinery consists of blind mortise & tenons and halflaps.
