The Frozen Fountain

The Frozen Fountain is a shop selling contemporary furniture and home accessories. In addition, The Frozen Fountain has organised many exhibitions.

The collection is then made complete by a selection of international furniture brands, creating an interesting interplay of classics and designs by contemporary designers. With these exhibitions, we strive to visualise the symbiosis between idea and end product. The emphasis has now shifted more onto installations and art commissions. Installations can be organised relatively quickly, allowing us

to respond better to the latest developments. In addition, issuing art commissions allows us to investigate a particular subject in greater depth.

A little wonky, a lot of whimsical 🪄

Willem Zwiers’ Whimsy Pourer is all about playfulness. Manufactured at Cor Unum, each of their makers chooses where the handle and spout go, giving every pourer its own personality.

Placed on top of the Transformed Remnants Coffee Table, where stacks of discarded books have been pressed into a new form. What was once paper now feels almost like stone, creating a new material chapter 📖

Tiny worlds, shaped by the hand of Lacey Verhalen 💭

In her playground, clay is scratched, washed, layered, carved, glazed, and sometimes gently persuaded into becoming something unexpected. Shapes drift between order and chaos, and every look reveals new details, we adore.

Beautiful orchids displayed in the Selenite Vase by Dirk van der Kooij, paired with the sculptural Helios Lamp by Studio Zoran Strijbosch and reflected in the 925 Mirror by Studio ThusThat.

“Mommy, I made an ashtray!” x 6!

Because ... what if everything could be an ashtray? A stool, a side table, a vase, even a ceramic cat house (meow!). Inspired by childhood memories of playing with clay, Rutger de Regt turns colourful, seemingly impossible forms into large-scale ceramic objects using his self-developed BSA technique.

The collection celebrates the freedom of making before rules, categories, expectations take over. Now on view and available in our showroom 🩷

A geometry club of design 📐

Featuring the Practice Chair by Pepijn Fabius Clovis, the Accrete lamp by Dirk van der Kooij, and Piet Hein Eek’s Waste Waste 12 × 12 High Gloss Table, set against a fragment of a painting by Philippa Atkinson.

Where glossy surfaces and sculptural silhouettes duo together in a corner that feels both cool and collected.

The Blow-Up Lamps by Willem Zwiers are all about the unexpected. 💡

What started as experiments in ceramic quickly turned into a series where mistakes became features and surprises shaped its form. The lamps seem to burst open around the light source, revealing rough edges, soft curves, and traces of the making process.

The result is a playful collection of sculptural lamps that feel spontaneous and full of personality. 💛

Last Friday, The Frozen Fountain transformed into a meeting place (and party!) for contemporary design, new perspectives, good conversations, drinks, bites, and tunes during The Future Classics 2026.

The evening celebrated emerging talents alongside established designers, showcasing new works and future classics in the making.

Featuring a fun and insightful talk by Willem Zwiers on his collections, the ideas behind them, their production, and future possibilities.
