Okra with Eguzi Soup😋
Is it delicious 😋 or detestable 😶
Ingredients
1) Grinded melon seeds
2) Okra
3) Bush mango seed i.e. ogbono (optional)
4) Adusa/Uziza or fluted pumpkin leaf (egwu or ikong ubong)
5) Assorted meat
6) Fish (fresh/ice fish is more preferable for this soup)
7) Pepper (fresh pepper is more preferable)
8) Palm oil (please use fresh one😆)
7) Crayfish/Shrimp
8) Onion
9) Salt
10) Seasoning cubes
11) Stockfish and anyother extra animal such as snails, lobsters, oyster. Infact everything wey dey inside water)
12) Periwinkle (optional per say periwinkle fit turn chop some people😛)
13) Let's keep number 13 for extra salt😆
Procedure 1:
Step 1:
1) wash and steam your fish, meat and Stockfish and set it aside.
2) chop your okra into desired shape (grating of okra will make the soup pasty)
3) chop your leaf and also the onion.
4) pound or blend your pepper and crayfish and set aside.
Tala! Your soup is ready 😁
Step 2:
1) place your pot on heat surface and pour in your palm oil allow it to heat up but please avoid burnt sacrifice 😆
2) add a pinch of salt and then add your diced onions and cover the pot to retain sweet savour 😋
3) fry your fish and set aside and then your Eguzi on low heat and allow it to dry well
4) to avoid stories, avoid tiktok videos at this moment 😶
5) pour in your stock and zoo 😄
6) bring to boil and put in your periwinkle if shelled
7) to get crumpy texture, don't turn the Eguzi immediately you've poured in your stock. Instead, bring to boil before dipping spoon to stir.
8) add your ogbono and stir immediately
9) add seasoning cubes
10) add crayfish and okra and allow to boil for about 30 seconds the add your chopped leaves
11) allow to boil for another 30 seconds and bring down the soup fast🙄 we like it green and fresh.
12) send some plates to me
