"Toyin! I really want to say thank you for how God used you mightily for me. I was there at the crusade when you prayed for everyone suffering from one addiction or the other," Caretaker said on the phone.
"Wow! Honestly I never thought you would attend the crusade. I just felt like inviting everyone and that was how I ended up inviting you. I thought you were joking when you said you were going to attend. You told me that you hated anything that had to do with church."
"Yes I did, but I was seriously inspired by your life. The kind of love you showed and the sexual purity you upheld was inspiring. There was this aura you carried and it was very attractive. Whenever I see you, I was attracted to you. I'm not talking about being sexually attracted, but inspired to be your friend.
Whenever I saw you, I felt like becoming like you. A desire to carry this presence you carried tugged at my heart. It made me reconsider everything I have carried about as a negative mindset about christians. You made Christianity look so attractive and better than living in sin.
Even the boys in the compound said the same thing. Many of them said they just like you and they cannot tell the reason why they do. I knew they were being inspired by this presence you carried. I was seriously drawn and wanted to know more about God. So I started trying to read the Bible in the secret, but it wasn't helping matters.
My addiction to smoking continued for almost 5 years. Sometimes I felt bad and really wanted to stop, but it was beyond my power. Until I attended the crusade and one word from you broke an addiction of 5 years. When you ministered on the stage, you mentioned those suffering from addictions and I raised my hands as you prayed for the congregation.
I thought it was just a word of declaration. But after I got home, I discovered I lost interest in smoking. Whenever I picked up the cigarette, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I hated it and had the power to say no to it. That was how I got my freedom instantaneously. I am here to tell you that right from that day till now, I have not put a cigarette to my mouth. This is something I do every single day. This is something I cannot live without, but now Jesus has set me free."
"Hallelujah!" I replied all smiles.
"I decided to join a church and get born again. I have been following Jesus ever since that encounter at the crusade. I gave my all to Jesus and my life has never been the same again. I called to thank you for allowing God to use you. I was seriously suffering from addiction, until I met you. God used you to break the chains of addiction from my life.
Thank you so much for being a blessing to this generation. Thank you so much for surrendering your life to Jesus. You're the best thing that ever happened to me in life. I am so glad God brought you to me. I pray that God will continue to uphold you and use you for his glory in Jesus name!"
"Amen!" I was already on my knees in gratitude to God.
The call ended and I raised my hands in the air to worship God. I remembered when I tried fasting from morning till 12, as instructed by the Holy Ghost and seriously struggled with keeping it. I remembered how I kept disobeying the Holy Ghost over and over till mummy had to lock me up in my room.
I remembered how I stole a spare key in other to sneak out of the room to steal food when I couldn't handle the hunger pangs. I was so stubborn and never wanted to serve God. Now look at me! My life is a blessing to so many people. If someone had told me that God would be able to use me for his glory, I would have told that person he was lying.
I saw my struggles and concluded that I would never be able to overcome it. I struggled with prayers and thought that is how it would always be. Indeed, the Bible is absolutely correct when it says that eyes have not seen, ears have not heard neither has it come into the heart of man, the things God has prepared for those that love him.
I never had an idea this was what God had in store for me. All I had to do was to follow him and here's where he brought me. I thought I was going to remain that little girl struggling with 1 hour prayer. I thought I was going to be that girl that could not fast. Here I am, a blessing to many lives. I never knew God had such a big plan.
Father thank you for your mercy. I was so stubborn, but you did not give up on me. Sometimes, I really wonder what you saw in me that made you insist I serve you. If there's one thing I am grateful for, I am grateful for you not giving up on me. I'm grateful for raising intercessors on my behalf. I will continue to make you proud and be a blessing to many lives.
I heard a knock on the door and stood up to attend to who was knocking. I opened the door and was surprised to see Faith. The same girl who came to the wedding with evil intentions. People came to weddings to congratulate the celebrants, but she came to scatter it.
"Hi!" She said and her eyes went straight to my bulging stomach.
"Hello!"
"So it's true!" She asked.
"What are you asking if it's true?"
"It's true that you are pregnant."
"Of course it is. It is a huge surprise to me as well. Even the doctor cannot explain how and where it came from. We are also surprised to see that I have been pregnant all this while and I never knew. Please come in!"
"Why would you invite me to your house?"
"Why won't I invite you into my house? Are you my enemy?"
"Of course I am your enemy. Didn't you see what I did at your wedding?"
"That wasn't you. That was just the enemy trying to make you think you are a wicked person. Please come in let us talk."
"Hold on a second. Are you trying to say I was not the one who did that?"
"Listen, when you fail to protect your mind against the devil and the whispers from him in, he succeeds in deceiving you. When the devil successfully deceives you, he makes you do his bidding. As soon as you are done following his instructions, he begins to tell you you are the worst person on earth. He begins to tell you you are so terrible.
When you understand that the world is nothing but a game of spirits, you would align yourself to the Holy Ghost. When you begin to do the things the Holy Ghost wants you to do, you would have power over the lies of the devil.
The Bible said submit yourself to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. You cannot resist the devil when you do not submit to God. So it is first of all your submission to God that guarantee your victory over the devil. It is your submission to the holy spirit that will make you overcome the lies and deception of Satan.
So the truth is there are no evil people on earth. There are no enemies and the only enemy we have is the devil. That is the reason why the Bible said if your enemy is hungry, give him food. If he's thirsty, give him water to drink. We don't have humans as enemies, you only have humans that resisted the Holy Ghost and ended up unable to resist the devil.
Can we sit so we can talk?"
She went down on her knees and broke down in tears.
"Please come inside! Please!"
"No! I cannot enter your house until I am sure you have forgiven me. I allowed the devil to deceive me and wasted my life in sexual immorality. I kept putting the blame on you for being a disgrace to the body of Christ. I never knew God could turn someone I called a mess into a message.
I heard about the crusade you held at Lekki. A madman received his mental healing in that meeting. Someone who went there with crushes came back walking with his two feet. A lot of people received healing and freedom from addictions.
I was bitter and angry. I felt why would God use somebody who brought shame to his name so mightily. I felt he was being wicked and cruel. The next thing I had was that you were getting married. I'm almost 30 years old right now and I haven't gotten a man in my life. All the ones that came to me, only wanted my body. As soon as they drank the wine of fornication to their satisfaction, they dropped me and left.
I decided to get revenge. I decided to attend the wedding with the intention to disgrace you. That was what made me step out boldly to tell the world you didn't have a womb. Instead of shutting down the wedding, your husband stood by you. He scattered all my calculated plans and inspired everyone in the congregation to follow God's will.
Instead of the wedding to be canceled, the marriage received a great blessing. I was so ashamed of myself. It was obvious I allowed the devil to use me. All my friends called me and told me that if I was going to have a good life, I must go and apologize to you. They said what I did to you who was touching the Lord's anointed. They said if I continue to delay, the judgment of God will fall on me.
That is what brought me here. I was already preparing to come and meet you when the news also came that you were pregnant. I just couldn't keep my bitter heart anymore. God is with you and he's seriously interested in fighting for you. When god is fighting for a man, you better not become that man's enemy.
I am here to come back to Jesus. I left him 4 years ago and it has been the biggest regret of my life. I thought Christianity was rubbish, but now I know that Jesus is the only way. There is no other way than Jesus. I am so sorry I allowed the devil to deceive me. I allowed him to tell me that, because you failed God there was nothing for me in God.
How God turned everything around in your life, is a mystery. All I have been hearing about you are testimonies upon testimonies. Please, I want to serve this God for the rest of my life. Can you lead me back to him. I am sorry for all the insults I threw at you. I'm sorry for the pains I caused you. Can you find a place in your heart to forgive me?"

The Bible says that the earnest expectation of creation awaits the manifestation of the sons of God.
Don't give up on that prayer life that you think is inconsistent. There are many lives waiting for you to rise and rescue them. There are generations waiting for you to rise up to become a burning and a shining light.
Lord, help me to pay the price for my destiny. Do not allow me to submit to the devil when I should be resisting him.
