Ever wondered where you can take your MERIDA bike?

We classify the terrain that you can use your bike on into different categories.

For bikes designed to be used exclusively on the road, we start at Category 0, but for bikes designed to hit the roughest, most challenging off-road terrain and seriously large jumps and drops, it goes all the way up to Category 5.

So if you're not sure where you and your MERIDA can travel to, why not take a look at our guide to these categories here? https://www.merida-bikes.com/en/group/classification-55...

While Merida is an international bike brand with its headquarters in Taiwan, the R&D department is based near Stuttgart in Germany.

To be based in Germany has historical reasons for MERIDA but the precise location was chosen specifically.

The region around Stuttgart is one of the hot spots of the automotive and machine building industry which Germany is famous for and attracts a hugely skilled design and engineer labour force.

But our team are more than just highly trained and experienced bicycle creators – they simply love everything ‘bike’
