In conjunction with the celebration of International Week of the Deaf, Penang Deaf Association (PDA) organised a fund raising project in support to the education and development of deaf society. Lumileds Malaysia sponsored 50 of our employees, including the hearing impaired employee (HMT) to join the event. This event took place at First Avenue Mall, Georgetown Penang last 25 September 2022. On 20th September 2022, Lumileds Malaysia celebrated the Graduation of 14 employees, who have successfully completed the Technical Specialist Skill Development and Transformation Program 1.0.
These 14 employees from various functions took the challenge and is the pioneer group for this program. The program is designed to equip our employees with various skills required as Technical Specialist I, from machine foundation knowledge to problem-solving and machine repair skills. After 3 months of classroom and practical learning. They are now all ready to move up the career ladder in assuming the new role of Technical Specialist 1. The journey continues… The second intake of this program is expected to be launched in October 2022. Stay tuned!

In conjunction with the Malaysia Day celebration, Lumileds Malaysia has successfully organized a Malaysia Day 5km Fun Run on 10 September 2022 (Saturday). Approximately 300 over employees and family members took part in this fun run event and has come together on this day to signify the strength, unity and diversity of Malaysians. Apart from the main activity, there were also other activities such as tug of war and lucky draw. Thank you all for the tremendous support! Keep looking forward for the upcoming events. 💪
