BELIAN is a company located at Kuching, Sarawak and born from our passion for handmade, unique items. Since 2017, we have been interested in working with materials made of wood, mainly from Belian. It started as a hobby that turned into passion, and then blossomed into a career of crafting and creating custom craftworks for our clients. What is Belian wood? Belian wood (also known as "Eusideroxylon zwageri") is a rare timber tree native to the Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Philippines region, which also can be found in Sarawak. It is categorized under heavy hardwood group and retained high market value. Since it is highly durable and sturdy material, which does not rot easily and is naturally resistant, it was even nick-named as “Borneo ironwood”. Disclaimers
